On Saturday 12th over 400 Senior Citizens joined us for a specially written Children's Musical - The Gift goes on. It portrayed a true story which took place on a Maori pa near Matamata over 170 years ago.

A copy of the Gospel of Luke in Maori was the means of bringing peace between warring tribes - a peace that later spread to many settlements in New Zealand. Quite a number of Mandarin speakers also attended with translation provided through headphones.

The performance was followed by an afternoon tea catered and served by the ladies form the church.
